Jeff Finkelstein is a VASE Board Member and previous President, inducted in 2004.
I started a small engineering firm in 1987, Microprocessor Designs, focused on the design and development of products that could benefit from the inclusion of a microcomputer to make them more capable. Since then my team and I have helped develop a wide variety products in the medical, consumer, automotive and industrial fields. Products include intelligent band-aids to infuse analgesics, a small personal peritoneal dialysis machine, control systems for the Segway Human Transporter, monitors for exercise equipment, intelligent automobile seats for Cadillac, control systems for a 3-D metal printer and many others. The work has allowed us to stay on the forefront of microcomputer hardware and firmware thereby allowing the products we develop become more intelligent and interactive.
