ABOUT VASE
Our aim is to foster a deeper understanding of science and technical matters among the citizens of the State of Vermont.
Established in 1995 by the Vermont Technology Council, VASE was created in response to the Vermont Science and Technology Plan of 1994. VASE supports K–12 STEM education across Vermont through grants, outreach, and programs that inspire innovation and discovery.
Help us fuel the future of STEM in Vermont. VASE runs entirely on donations. Your support directly empowers the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators by funding hands-on STEM programs throughout the state. Please consider donating today to make a lasting impact.

TEACHER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Academy believes that major STEM advancements began with students who are inspired early in their educational journey. To recognize the vital role that teachers play in jumpstarting student curiosity in STEM, VASE bestows an annual award that honors outstanding STEM educators in Vermont—one for grades K-8 and one for grades 9-12.
SMALL EQUIPMENT GRANTS (SEG)
VASE Small Equipment Grants support Vermont K-12 teachers in creating hands-on science and engineering activities by helping cover the cost of materials like lab equipment, software, and STEM kits. Each year, up to ten grants of $1,000–$1,500 each are awarded, funded by the Vermont Technology Council and generous donors.
HANDS-ON SCIENCE & TECH GRANTS (HOST)
VASE HOST Grants support hands-on, project-based technical learning outside the traditional Vermont classroom. They fund activities like science clubs, robotics teams, and individual projects. Up to ten grants of $1,000–$1,500 each are awarded annually, with larger amounts possible if funds allow.
